Houston-based Enchanted Rock Ltd.’s ability to speed through the environmental permitting process has won it a contract to build a microgrid for a new Texas A&M University System campus in a public-private partnership.

Texas A&M got in contact midway through 2016 to ask the microgrid company to apply through a competitive RFP process around backup power supply to its new RELLIS campus in Bryan, Texas, McAndrews said. The RELLIS campus was announced last year as a high-tech research, technology development and education campus.
